Heart of Sekiro

A shifting duel of roles, speed, and strategy on a single line of battle. This is an analog game with hybrid components.

Genre: Queue-based roguelike dueler.

Role: Game Designer & Programmer (Team of 4)

Timeline: Spring 2025

Programming

  • Implemented a web-based stat tracker that helps players keep track of their stats and upgrades without disrupting the gameplay.

Game Design & Playtest

  • Designed and iterated the core mechanics of the action loop.

  • Created Role cards with unique actions and passives.

  • Designed an easy-to-follow rulebook that allows player to quickly familiarize with the rules.

  • Playtested at BOINGA spring 2025 and Gamemaker’s Guild event.
